Showcase dates are May 9-10-11-12, 2013 and will take place in conjunction with, during, the festival LA GRANDE RENCONTRE – 21st Edition, occurring on the same dates, at the Theatre Gésu, Quartier des Spectacles in downtown Montréal. This year’s festival theme is «Un héritage collectif» (A Collective Heritage).
Conférence Trad Montréal, an international event, is an opportunity for Espace Trad in partnership with Folquébec to again pursue their mission of presenting Québec based artists to a national and international community. Espace Trad and Folquébec, non-profit organizations, invite you the Artists / Groups to subscribe to this event where, if selected, you will present a 20 minute show at the aforementioned dates and location to an audience which will include major players and Conference delegates (Artistic Directors, festival bookers, agents etc…) selected from OCFF, APAP, Showcase Scotland and Folk Alliance. A jury panel will select 8 Artists / Groups from submissions received to present at this event.
