28 January – 1 February, Celtic Connections/Showcase Scotland

The showcase artists – Galant Tu Perds Ton Temps, Yves Lambert + le Bébert Orchestra, Les Chauffeurs à Pieds, Genticorum, La Bottine Souriante, Le Vent du Nord – plus the Folquébec and SPDTQ team will cross the Pond to promote Québec trad artists at Scotland’s Celtic Connections festival/conference. Spotlight Québec is a partnership project with the SPDTQ, Showcase Scotland and the Québec Delegation in London, born of a relationship that developed over several years of participation at international industry events. The goal is to expand the UK and European market for trad music from Québec; a new double compilation is the key promotional tool, to be distributed at the event with a small quantity for sale in the UK via distributor Proper Records.
